Everyone is welcome!
If you're searching for ways to build relationships between neighbors, spread compassion, offer healing and hope, you've found it. We follow Jesus in serving others, but you may have another reason. That's ok. You are most welcome to volunteer for one or more of our many projects. You do not have to be a member or even a regular participant of Trinity Sarasota to join us in making a difference in our neighborhood and around the world. Contact us today!
Our Six Sarasota Passion Projects
Phillippi Shores Elementary School
Our primary local project supports the staff and families of our neighborhood elementary school. This includes tutoring programs, teacher appreciation, and a large back to school event called Day 4 Hope. These efforts are part of a larger vision organized by Hope 4 Communities - partnering every school in Sarasota County with a faith community. You are welcome and encouraged to join us in this neighbors helping neighbors project.
Fish Medical Transport
Neighbors giving neighbors in need rides to medical appointments. It's that simple.

We believe education changes everything. We're proud to help fund undergraduate and graduate degree programs for our applicants.
Brookdale ALF- Phillippi Shores Campus on Swift
Our newest passion project! We currently offer a weekly worship service, Sundays at 1:30 pm, and look forward to expanding our partnership.
Shield a Badge with Prayer
Local first responders provide their name and badge number. Members of the congregation pray for them by name daily.
Regional and International Projects
Florida Work Teams
Thanks to Hank Lunsford, we have a long-standing relationship with the small Florida community of Pahokee. We partner with the residents in rebuilding homes and lives in this economically challenged community. We're expanding our work teams to help with Hurricane Irma recovery in south Florida. Come with us on a work week or work weekend.
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
UMCOR is the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church serving survivors of both US and international disasters. They arrive early for relief efforts and stay for the many years of recovery work. Last year, Florida received an UMCOR hurricane recovery grant of 8 million. Trinity Sarasota raised over $9,000 towards this effort.
Florida United Methodist Children's Home
The Florida United Methodist Children's Home was established in 1908 to provide a home for orphans and other children that had nowhere else to live. Today it serves as a diverse ministry with two campuses (Enterprise and Madison) that includes residential, therapeutic group, foster and emergency shelter care. The Children's Home also provides independent living assistance and a community child care center. Our Easter offering supports the Children's Home.
Operation Christmas Child
Every November, we partner with Samaritan's Purse to provide shoeboxes full of gifts for children in developing countries.
Apportionments- a portion for others
Trinity Sarasota is honored to be part of the worldwide United Methodist connection of congregations. Each congregation gives a percentage of their offerings to fund large denominational projects like universities, new church starts, and missionaries. Together, through our connected congregations, we accomplish what no single church, district or annual conference ever could hope to do alone. Click here for more information.
