Everyone is welcome!
If you're searching for ways to build relationships between neighbors, spread compassion, offer healing and hope, you've found it. We follow Jesus in serving others, but you may have another reason. That's ok. You are most welcome to volunteer for one or more of our many projects. You do not have to be a member or even a regular participant of Trinity Sarasota to join us in making a difference in our neighborhood and around the world. Contact us today!
Our 5 Sarasota Passion Projects
Phillippi Shores Elementary School
Our primary local project supports the staff and faculty of our neighborhood elementary school. This includes tutoring programs, teacher appreciation, and resourcing teachers. You are welcome and encouraged to join us in this neighbors helping neighbors project.
Working directly with the children requires a background screening and training in our Child Protection Policies. The school system also requires a separate background screening and short tutor training.
Fill The Table Food Drive
Begun during the pandemic in 2020, each month on the 3rd Saturday, we collect Food and necessaries for 2 local Food Banks in the parking lot of our Campus. Contact Church Office for a list of requested items to be donated.

Regional and International Projects
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
UMCOR is the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church serving survivors of both US and international disasters. They arrive early for relief efforts and stay for the many years of recovery work. Their work includes hurricane, fire, and earthquake recovery. In 2017, Florida received a UMCOR Hurricane Irma recovery grant of 8 million. Trinity Sarasota raises thousands of dollars towards this effort.
Florida United Methodist Children's Home
The Florida United Methodist Children's Home was established in 1908 to provide a home for orphans and other children that had nowhere else to live. Today it serves as a diverse ministry with two campuses (Enterprise and Madison) that includes residential, therapeutic group, foster and emergency shelter care. The Children's Home also provides independent living assistance and a community child care center. Our Easter offering supports the Children's Home.
Operation Christmas Child
Every November, we partner with Samaritan's Purse to provide shoeboxes full of gifts for children in developing countries.
Apportionments- a portion for others
Trinity Sarasota is honored to be part of the worldwide United Methodist connection of congregations. Each congregation gives a percentage of their offerings to fund large denominational projects like universities, new church starts, and missionaries. Together, through our connected congregations, we accomplish what no single church, district or annual conference ever could hope to do alone. Click here for more information.
